Press specialist PTC PressEngineering has expanded its vehicle fleet to the tune of 13 Ford models. At the end of June, a total of eleven Focus Titanium station wagons were delivered by long-standing partner Schwabengarage GmbH in Stuttgart. Two more Ford Mondeo station wagons will be delivered in July. The new vehicles will be used by fitters. Key customers will be the automotive, supply, machinery and metal forming industries.
The 150-horsepower vehicles are equipped across the range with Lane Keeping Aid and Driver Alert, Active City Stop, exterior mirrors with Blind Spot Information System, Traffic Sign Recognition, and an 8” navigation system with Ford Sync2 Emergency Assistance. An additional service offered by Ford for its company cars is 24-hour service with a mobility guarantee. PTC PressEngineering’s decision to go with Ford was influenced by Ford’s connection with the region of North Rhine-Westphalia and with the Ford plant in Cologne.
Environmental awareness and comfort above all else
A further reason for choosing Ford was their economical and powerful diesel engines in combination with automatic double-clutch transmission. They all meet the Euro 6 standard and impress with their low CO2 emissions and low fuel consumption of between 4.0 and 5.2 litres per 100 kilometres. Automatic climate control, sports seats, heated seats, central armrest and cruise control ensure additional driving comfort – even on longer journeys. Because of its lower purchase price in comparison with previous company vehicles and the associated 1% tax rate, private utilization of company vehicles by employees will become more attractive.
Since 2012 PTC PressEngineering has belonged to the SCHOLPP Group, the leading service provider for worldwide relocation and assembly of industrial systems. PTC is a specialist in the maintenance, modernization, performance improvement and certification of presses for metal processing. 60 highly specialized engineers and fitters are out and about throughout Germany and Europe. Part of PressEngineering’s mission as a strong, forward-looking employer is to offer its employees the ability to undertake long journeys in comfort and safety. “We meet the needs of our customers with high-quality service. We apply the same high standards to our vehicle fleet as we apply to our employees’ activities,” explains Götz Schleith, Regional Manager responsible for the SCHOLPP Group fleet. Ralf Bratz, Managing Director of PTC, and Wolfgang Umbach, responsible for sales to commercial buyers and fleet customers at Schwabengarage GmbH, were present for the delivery to the PTC site in Oberhausen.
