“PTC and Bratz have collaborated productively for many years. The merger will combine the competencies of both companies to optimum effect,” explains Lars Gerlach, Managing Director of SCHOLPP.
Ralf Bratz, the previous owner of Bratz Engineering, one of the specialists for automation technology and mechanical engineering in North Rhine-Westphalia, has been Managing Director of PTC PressEngineering since May 2015.
In future, this will allow PTC to offer retrofitting, repairs and maintenance, servicing and conversion for control units for other systems in addition to presses. Going forward, these services will also be available for conveyor belt systems, forklifts and stackers and all current automation systems up to and including scrap removal systems. New areas of focus are flexible assembly lines for systems automation and electrical or mechanical retrofitting, as well as robotics and robotic automation systems.
With 20 sites in total, SCHOLPP can now strategically strengthen its widespread presence in Germany. “In summer 2015, we will also be establishing a PTC branch office in the north of Cologne. In conjunction with our site in Oberhausen, we will be offering our customers in the region a high-performance partnership,” promises Gerlach.
All existing jobs were safeguarded in the acquisition. “In total we now have available more than 50 engineers and technicians and 20 fitters in the fields of mechanics, hydraulics, control technology and robotics. This assures our specialist knowledge over every aspect of the production line and complements SCHOLPP’s range of services,” emphasizes Ralf Bratz.
